How Long Does Data Recovery Take?

Each drive is being carefully examined upon its reception in our lab without any delays. Nonetheless, the turnaround differs from case to case and depends on the selected service plan as well as some other factors which could affect a particular project.

The emergency service turnaround time for most cases takes to complete 24-48 hours. All rush cases are executed in non-stop round-the-clock regime before its completion.

The regular service is finalized within 3-5 days (standard/no-rush, daytime/9am-to-9pm service).

Some recovery operations are time consuming, especially for drives with the extra large capacity. For example, when a magnetic layer on the spinning platters (disks) is heavily damaged, we use specialized hardware and software tools to create the raw image by examining the low-level data sectors (Magnetic force microscopy used to analyze the magnetic patterns stored on a medium). Then it's converted into readable data that is being recovered to the new, healthy media. After that is done, the software recovery specialists analyze, fix and recover data from raw images. The imaging process alone may take up to few days of recovery time, especially for severely damaged devices.

Our goal is to deliver your data back within the time frame of the chosen service (emergency or regular).
